Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains how Minster Bells Holiday Homes ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Minster Bells Holiday Homes is operated and represented by its Managing Director, at West Hill House, Allerton Hill, Chapel Allerton, Leeds, England, LS7 3QB. For any privacy question or to exercise your data rights, contact us at info@minsterholidayhomes.com.
What we collect
- Information you give us — when you send an enquiry through the form on this site (your name and email, and optionally your phone number, preferred dates, party size, and the message and home you're enquiring about). The enquiry form is hosted on this site and is not a third-party embed. Your enquiry details are emailed to us and stored in a secure log solely so we can respond to your enquiry, and are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
- Basic technical data — our host may process limited, aggregated server data (such as page requests) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange and manage a booking — our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and steps taken at your request prior to a contract.
- To keep the site secure and protect our forms from spam — our legitimate interests.
Analytics
We use Clicky, a privacy-friendly website analytics service provided by Roxr Software Ltd, to understand how our site is used — for example, which pages are visited, how visitors find us, and how long they stay — so that we can improve it.
Clicky runs in its cookie-free mode on our site: it sets no cookies and stores no information on your device. It processes limited information about your visit, including the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, technical details such as your browser, device and operating system, your approximate location (country and region), and your IP address, which Clicky anonymises. We do not use this information to identify you personally, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interests in understanding and improving our website. As no cookies or other device storage are used, no cookie consent is required; however, you have the right to object to this processing — see "Your rights" below. You can read Clicky's own privacy policy at https://clicky.com/terms/privacy.
Maps
Our individual property pages show a location map. The map is provided by OpenStreetMap and displayed using the Leaflet mapping library, which loads from a content-delivery network. To show the map, your browser contacts these services, which receive your IP address to deliver the map and its tiles. This is not used to set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use the map to identify you or to advertise to you. OpenStreetMap's privacy policy is at https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
Sharing and storage
We use trusted third-party providers to run the site and handle enquiries — our hosting provider (Netlify); Cloudflare, whose Turnstile check protects our forms from spam and processes your IP address to do so; Roxr Software Ltd (Clicky analytics); and OpenStreetMap, together with the content-delivery network that serves the Leaflet mapping library, which deliver the location maps on our property pages. Enquiry emails are sent and stored through our own email provider (SiteGround). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards. We do not sell your personal data.
Where your data is processed
Some of our providers (for example our hosting, email and analytics providers) may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK's international data-transfer provisions) to protect your information.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, to answer your enquiry and manage any resulting booking — or as required by law, then delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@minsterholidayhomes.com.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
